Halloween Weigh In!
I discovered the most DELICIOUS breakfast this morning:
– Greek Yogurt
– A heaping teaspoonful of Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter.
Stir and eat! So yummy! Wish I had a ginger cookie to crumble on top, though.

Monday weigh-in: down to 168!
I had to check the scale a couple of times to make sure I read that right! Two whole pounds!
I can attest the loss to upping my exercise and keeping my alcohol intake in control. What I think was my biggest savior was not buying Halloween candy!
We live in a neighborhood that’s mostly adults, but there are a number of kids in the neighborhood. However, they never trick-o-treat. The past few years, we’ve gotten stocked up and ready for the neighbors to come by with the kids, but nobody ever showed up. This left us with a mountain of candy! Candy – especially chocolate – is one of my weaknesses and I can’t have it in the house because I will eat it!
Lesson learned! So this year: no candy.
Do you have any plans for Halloween?
I'm on the slippery slope to 40 and I'm working my way to being as healthy as possible in mind, body and soul. I have an awesome husband and three fluffy kitties. I love to run, cook and help others, but I'm always looking for more ways to improve my life and the lives around me. I also have a weird sense of humor, so be warned.
I was craving a ginger cookie to top off my breakfast this morning so I mixed: 1 tbsp almond flour (any flour would do, I’m sure), pinch ginger, cinnamon, 1/4 tsp blackstrap molasses, and a touch of liquid stevia and crumbled it on top. I’m sure you could do it with a bit of oats too! It tasted just like the real thing and I didn’t have to bake anything!
That sounds delightful!! Gotta love no bake cookies!
